I updated my For Sale or Trade post and another project from Morgan!

I updated my For Sale or Trade thread with 2 sets today.  You can see them HERE.
Rearranging our scrap rooms is the best move I have ever made!  Morgan scraps with me almost every night.  Her friends are all coming over to make locker decorations etc.  We are having such a blast!
My sister and I found this peace sign at the second hand store.  I think I paid $0.50 for it and Morgan worked on it for 4 nights!
The apple didn't fall far from the tree over here!  She is the embossing QUEEN!  I for sure need a back up gun now!  LOL
She cuts better than I do!  She embossed, colored and cut out every image!  Then she added Stickles to everything!  [That was after I took all the pictures though]
The actual sign is a sticker on both sides.  She put the paper down and cut out all the holes and the edges and then filed them smooth!
Didn't she do a great job?
She is on a 3 day mission trip this week.  They are sleeping at the church every night.  Yesterday they worked at the animal shelter [I'll bet she fell in love with something and we will have a new pet].  They are working with the homeless people too.  This afternoon they get a break and get to go swim.  Would it be wrong of us to show up at the pool and press our faces against the fence just so we can see her cute face?  Carlee would bewailing as I run back to the car and we'd be busted for sure LOL
Thanks for stopping by today!  I'll be back later with more cards!  I made 3 last night!  I am finally on a roll again YIPPEE!!

Summer Card Camp 2011 Week 1 - Monday

I have followed Kristina and Jennifer for years!  I love their work a lot!  I was so excited when they teamed up I joined the class immediately!  You can check it out HERE.  I am sure it's not too late to join!
This is my first online class and I really like it.  I printed out the pdf file and I may have actually skipped down the hall to my scrap room in the middle of the day!  :)
The 'happy' and the oval are from an {ippity} stamp set called Cherish Your Dreams.
The 'because of you' is another {ippity} stamp set called Love in Return
Both sets are on sale for 10% off.  I'll pay your shipping and you can pick 25 yards of free twine!
I used clear EP from American Crafts and Blushing Pink EP from Stamp 'n Stuff.
I finally got a Martha scoreboard and I used it to make the rosette, because I still don't have either of Tim's dies *GASP*!  The butterflies are also from Martha and I love that punch!
Thanks s much for stopping by today!  :)

I'd like to tell you what NOT to buy!

I am a HUGE fan of Studio G!  I love their little stamps!  Their little square inks are 10 times better than ColorBox's cat eyes!  I have never had one fall off and ruin my shirt!
However, their kidz line SUCKS!  The stamps in the container were not harmed in this little project!
See those big darling ink pads?  They have the strangest smell!  Not a big deal right?  As Carlee stamped I piled up the stamps to be cleaned on a plate.  [Her glass lunch plate which is in the dishwasher now, who knows what that will look like.]
These stamps are so sticky I can not get the ink off!  I think I am going to have to throw them away.  Today I am going to go buy Dawn [Thanks Terry]  I have Palmolive and it's not working even a little!
{EDITED TO ADD: THE INK MADE THEM STICKY!!  THE STAMPS ROCK!}
My nail brush has been soaking in BLEACH for over 24 hours and it still looks awful.  I had no idea ink could be this sticky.  You should see my fingernails!
You can't really see the ink that is stuck on the sink.  I am not the best housekeeper on the planet, but I LOVE a sparkling clean sink and I no longer have that.
I had a 20% off entire purchase for these ink pads.  So I spent a whopping $3.20 to ruin a ton of stuff  LOL
You should buy {ippity} though!  Those stamps ROCK!  :)  You totally knew that was coming right?  ;)  LOL
Thanks for stopping by today!  :)

Jimmi's June Kit of the Month Sketch Challenge!

Have you jumped on this train yet?  You really need to!  How does 100 [yes one hundred] random stamps and a kit of your choice sound?  Click HERE to read all about it and join the fun!  If I ever win this and get to roll around in 100 random Unity stamps, I will die a happy girl  LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Here is my take on the sketch below!  I used my June, 2011 kit All Smiles.  It is such a great kit!  I love it!
I think I was pregnant with Carlee when I got a hold of the Creative Memories curvy cutter thing.  I thought it would be something I used all the time.  I am pretty sure this is on;y the second time I used it LOL  But I love it!  I am going to use it more!  So easy and different!  I love it!
The paper is MME, the ribbon is from my stash and the EP is Brownie by American Crafts.  I wrote them begging them to sell me more because mine is almost gone.  They replied with it was just a test color.  *SOB*  It's better than their chestnut brown color.  Please tell me your favorite brown embossing powder!  I need to find a new one to love because this PERFECT one can't be replaced DARNIT!  LOL
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

More inspiration from my awesome sister!

How fantastic is this card?  My sister Carla ROCKS!!!
I love the way she piles everything up.  I wish I could do this like she does!  My plan is to CASE everything she makes and maybe I can get better LOL
She used two stamps from Quotes A'La Happy set.

This darling set is on sale for $21.60.  I have free shipping and you can pick out 25 yards of free twine!
A HUGE thanks to my sister for all her beautiful work!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

What's For Dinner?

My fabulous sister, Carla made us these Spoonburgers when we were at her house last week.  We LOVED them!  As I was writing down the recipe I realized I already have this cookbook!  LOL

Fix & Forget 50 Slow Cooker Recipes

Spoonburgers

Makes 6 servings [really more like 8]
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Slow Cooker Cooking Time: 3 to 4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low
Last-Minute Cooking Time: 5-10 minutes on stove top

1 1/2 pounds extra lean ground beef
1 small green pepper, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley [I used a dash of dry]
1 can [8 oz.] tomato sauce
1 can [8 oz.] stewed tomatoes, cut up and juice reserved [I bought a regular size can of Rotel, seeing stewed tomatoes makes me gag I didn't drain them either]
1 can [4 oz.] chopped green chilis
1 T chili powder
1 or 2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/4 t salt
1/2 t paprika
1/4 t pepper
Toasted split buns or cooked pasta [I used a loaf of pre-sliced french bread from the bakery on clearance for $0.90 YIPPEE]

1.  Crumble ground beef and place in a slow cooker.  [I used a wooden spoon and smashed it down to cover the bottom evenly.]  Throw everything else on top.  [I didn't stir it or anything]

2. Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or on low for 6 to 8 hours or until vegetables are tender.

3.  Spoon over buns or pasta.

Serve with French fries and pickles.  [We had salad and corn]

I don't like meatloaf or sloppy Joes.  These are some how a combo of them and I love it!  SO YUMMY!  Morgan and Bryan really like it too so it's a winner over here!  Carlee won't even try it.   Yes she is cute but so stubborn you can't even believe it!  LOL

I am totally in love with my crock-pot.  The house doesn't get hot.  I don't have to do much to make dinner happen and that leaves more time for the scrap room!

I still have not made a single card or page!  Last night I moved all my Unity stamps!  It took me 3 hours LOL  Because you know the earth was just about to stop spinning if I didn't have all the co-brands together and all the singles together.  Now there are piles of rubber all over my room!  I need more thin stufftainers in a BIG way!  LOL

Good thing my sister has been using my {ippity} stamps so I still have some more stuff to show you guys!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Now, Creations with Christina wants to see our rooms! :)

These are my FAVORITE posts!  I could look at people's loot all day long! I have been hoarding collecting scrap supplies since 1995!  I have worked at a scrap store for 8 years, a wholesale place for a short time.  I have sold Creative Memories and I now sell {ippity} and cut for Creative Cuts and More!  That is a lot of opportunities for a whole lot of really fantastic stuff!  Truth be told I love re-organizing it as much as I love using it!
I just did a room redo and most things are pretty much the same.  We just got new to us chairs that don't take up the whole area LOL  I sit here and face my oldest DD and my BFF!
This is to my right.
This is behind me.
This is to my left.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!  :)  If you want to see both rooms with more talk you can click HERE.
I am off to see all of your rooms now!  YIPPEE!!!

Another guest designer!

I am the luckiest girl in the world to have the sister that I do.  She has so much talent and I keep hoping I catch it LOL
She altered this jar and made it super cute!  She stamped the scalloped circle with an {ippity} stamp, Gurnsey Gingham and added a grand adhesion and some Primas to it!  The ribbon is Creative Impressions.
Gurnsey Gingham is a super fun background stamp!
It's on sale for $5.40!  I'll pay your shipping and you can pick out 25 yards of twine
It is 3 1/4" tall and 4 1/2" wide!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

What I'm reading! Sing You Home by Jodi Picoult

I haven't done one of these posts in a while but I just finished listening to a PHENOMENAL book and wanted to share!
I do not discuss controversal subjects.  Period.  I don't talk politics. I don't do any of that stuff.  I don't care what your opinion is and we all think differently and I love you just the same.
Your and you in general not one particular you or yours LOL
Listen to this book.  It is amazing!   I LOVED it!  Every time a CD ended I was RUNNING to wherever I left the rest of them to get the next one.  I was annoyed [all though, they don't know it, LOL] when my Peeps needed me to talk to them instead of listen to the book  LOL
I am a happily married to the best man on earth!  I honestly don't even know if i know a gay person.  Because I don't care who my peeps sleep with.  I just sleep with Bryan and that is all that matters to me!  OK, that is all I am going to say about it.  Please don't bash me for loving this book.  :)  It is very well written, VERY interesting and VERY well covered from every opinion out there and I loved it!  If you want to know more about it, you can watch these two clips.

I listened to this book and cried my eyes out through the entire damn thing.  I loved it.  My BFF was killed by a drunk driver the summer before our senior year.  She was leaving my house after we had a sleepover.  It was the worst and completely changed my entire life.  So you may not bawl your eyes out through the whole book, but you should read it.  It's a good one!
You can read more about it here:
Next up, is:
Now, I have the funniest Sandra Brown story EVER!  I used to listen to books in the car.  After this I stopped that and went back to music LOL
We used to have this amazing wholesale place called Rogers that we got a lot of our supplies from.  They had these super fun yearly shows.  I got to meet Tim Holtz there!  So any ways, the parking at this particular hotel is a nightmare.  It has this steep ramp that goes around and around.  Well I pulled straight into a spot from the ramp.  It's snowing and freezing.  I go have the best day and naturally leave late to pick up Morgan.  Well I back up and full forward about 6 times and I can not get my stupid land yacht Taurus out of the parking spot.  I can't back down the ramp and the big cement wall is threatening to dent the side if I turn the wheel.  So I finally see this sweet older man.  I jump out and beg him to get my car out of this jam.  I'm late to pick up my girl!  So he gets in and goes back and forth and back and forth another 6-8 times.  Finally there is enough room to turn the wheel and get out of the stinkin' spot.  He gets out and is sort of laughing and pats my shoulder and tells me to drive carefully, the roads are slick.  I am thinking as I am driving down the stupid ramp, well that was not very nice of him to laugh at my predicament now was it?  Just as I finish my thought I tune into the Sandra Brown book playing.  OH MY GOSH it is the worst $ex scene you have ever heard!  LMAO  That poor man had to listen to this very detailed sex scene the entire time he went back and forth with this OMG I am late picking up my daughter lady standing there in a panic!  That was when I started praying outloud, Please GOD never ever let me cross paths with that man again.  He must think I am some sort of a pervert.  I'll bet he is calling Child Protection Services right now!  LOL
Thanks for stopping by today and let me know what I should listen to next!  :)

How Do YOU Store Your Punches?

If you are here for the {ippity} release, please click HERE.
YIPPEE!!  Christina did another Show us your.... post!  I LOVE these posts!  Head on over there and link up!
I can tell you, don't store them like I do  LOL
I used to be addicted to punches!  Every Sunday Bryan, his son Trey and I would head over to Michael's armed with cash and coupons and come home with 3 new ones LOL  These are on the hall.  One night these shelves are going to break and Bryan is going to race down here to shoot the punches all over the floor  LOL
When I need one of these I have to take so many down to get the one I need.  Then I leave them all over the floor and it's a big mess trying to get in and out of the rooms.  This system doesn't work well.  Don't try it LOL
Now this one, this is my old desk.  The basket filled up months ago so now I just pile them where ever they will fit.  I have to dig around and the scrape off my nail polish.  They look bad too.  Don't do this either!  LOL
I'll be stalking this thread all day long!  So let me see how you store YOUR punches!  My system isn't really working so well  LOL
If you are here for the {ippity} release please scroll down, or click HERE.

The last day of this months release!

So what do you think?  What's your favorite?  Today we are featuring The Man, New Season, New Wonder and Friends + Flowers = Priceless!
Three more amazing sets!
I really like New Season, New Wonder!  It is a super fun set!  It embosses really well.  Big shocker, that I embossed it right?  LOL  I used some twine to decorate the top.    The little gems are by Recollections.
This is another Creative Cuts and More card!  Super fun to make!  It's a Standing Pop-Up card!  It's flat so you can put it in the envelope.
Then as you pull it up it pops into a little box stand thing-a-ma-jig!  LOL  I used The MAN to decorate this one and I didn't emboss anything.  It was HARD, but I lived through it! LOL
Now, prepare to be AMAZED!  :)   The next card uses Friends + Flowers = Priceless.  We have a guest designer on the blog today!!  I'm particularly partial to her, she is mine!  That's right folks, MORGAN REESE has decided she wants to make cards for the blog!  She also took the picture!  She sadly made this card for a friend of hers that passed away a year ago today.  She left it with some flowers on his grave.
I love her style!  I can't wait for her to start doing these blog posts!  LOL  She is 13 and a good girl!  She can handle the blog right?  :)
She is a tough act to follow but here is mine.  Back to embossing!  That is after all my favorite thing to do!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
This has been a fun release!  Remember, everything is 10% off and I have free shipping! I will also send you 25 yards of twine in the colors of your choice!  I'd love to be your {ippity} chick!

Day 2 of the {ippity} release!!

These stamps are so stellar, I really mean that.  They emboss PERFECTLY!  I love combining the sets and I LOVE making stuff with them!
We are doing a 2 day release over at the {ippity} Blog!  For the first day we are featuring The BEST and My True Joy!  Both are really AWESOME!  The BEST is my FAV.!!
I embossed these banners in under 5 minutes and I am not kidding.  I stamped them with Versamark and covered them in Chestnut American Crafts EP and heated them up and cut them all out in no time flat!  I did braid 3 strands of my brown and white twine to hang them on and it took FOREVER!  LOL, and you can't even see the braid, I covered it with the banners LOL
The saying,  You're Kind Of A BIG DEAL kills me in a good way!  The kind of way that makes me well up.   I have so many Peeps in my life that are such a BIG deal I just know this is going to be the sentiment I use on every card from here on out!
I'll have to use this card for someone I don't mail it to.  Like my BFF, Heather.  See, she moved her loot into my room MONTHS ago.  It's been PERFECT scrapping with her.  I have rooted through her loot once before looking for my rub-on tool, which I found in HER drawer!  See how she rolls?  :)  Well we are BFF's for a darn good reason.  I totally rooted and found and took these PERFECT metal square letters!
  I DID TOO DO THAT!!!!
 But I like the bows hanging off the card, so I don't want to mail it.  I'll just leave it on her embellishment holder and wish her luck getting her darling and perfect letters off. [I use Glue Dots, those suckers could survive an airplane ride OUTSIDE on the wing :) {IlyHty}
OK, back on task, I used my own loot on this card I PROMISE!
It is the SO DARN EASY Twist Card from Creative Cuts and More!  I LOVE it!  I used My True Joy and Flowers + Friends=Priceless

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Right now I have a 10% off sale.  Plus always free shipping, [international girls email me, it can be sent so cheap and I'll pay what compares to US shipping noellereese@q.com] AND  I'll throw in twine!  25 yards!  You can pick your colors HERE!

It's release DAY!!! There is a challenge! There is a PRIZE!!

This is going to be BIG FUN!  Go to the {ippity} blog HERE, and read all about it!  You won't want to miss the chance to WIN right?
I did a 2 page layout.  It was so fun using the BIG stamps!
I can't pick a favorite child, but I can pick a favorite stamp set from this release!  Hands down, it is THE BEST!  The name is so very fitting!!
It's on sale for $22.50.  That is as low as I am allowed to sell it!  Prior to this release I had the sets on sale for 20% off.  So, to make up for it, I'll pay the shipping!  Plus, I'll send you 25 yards of twine!  you can pick the colors HERE!
Please excuse these awful pictures! I used Bazzil Bling paper for the background and for me, it is right next to impossible to get a good picture.
I know that for those of you that follow me, you want to groan over another paw layout LOL  A deal is a deal!  Morgan is allowed to take as many pictures as she wants and if they are good, I will scrap them.  Her goal for her life is to be a photographer and live in New York.  She loves Carlee's paws.  :)  Plus I scrap chronologically.  Carlee is FIVE WEEKS old here LOL  I did this layout last night!  Get ready for a lot more paw pictures.  We can't help ourselves.  :)
The flowers are from Flowers + Friends=Priceless!   It is my second favorite set from this release!  It is on sale for $16.20.  You can see a picture at the bottom of this post.
These stamps are BIG!
Please excuse the messy mat under them  LOL  But I wanted to show you just how big they are.  Each square in an inch.
These two sets are a must have!  I love them both!  :)
Here are the details:  The tag on the 2nd page is a Quickutz.  The fonts are enjoy.  On the banners, the font is by Sizzix Boxed Brush.  The ribbon is from Creative Impressions and the buttons are from my stash!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Enter the challenge!  Anything but a card!  How easy is that?
I would love to send you some stamps!

Saturday, June 4, 2011

Carlee still loves {ippity}!!

She is much faster than the camera!
She wouldn't quit looking at the stamps.
When she finally does she uses her new camera smile where she shoves out her chin so she looks like a bull dog LOL  New Season, New Wonder is her favorite Because apples are the BEST!
The stamps will be shipping first thing Monday morning!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
