A 365 Card Challenge

I got a wild hair yesterday and decided to join 6 challenges.  I made 2 cards last night, we will see how far I get.   365 Cards is an awesome blog, you should all come play along!
I don't like the twine.  It seems to thin to me.  But like a good player I stuck with the sketch.
I am head over heels for  these My Mind's Eye 6 x 6 paper pads!  They makes card decisions quick and easy!
This is my favorite {ippity} butterfly from Now & Always
The sentiment is from The Simple Things.
Thanks for stopping by today!  Don't forget The Chick Challenge, we have another fun sketch on Thursday!  It is my favorite so far!

HAPPY World Card Making Day!

I made this card last night.  I made the flower, lots of embossing and cutting.  I used Now & Always by {ippity} and a Recollections pearl and lots of Stickles.
I used the new {ippity} set Thanks For All Things to stamp the flower border.  I tied on the ribbon and then completely changed my mind.  Instead of going with vertical I decided it would be so much cuter horizontal, so I stamped on the sentiment.  I used lots of pop-dots and glue dots to get the flower where I wanted it with the bow loops and strings where I thought they looked best.  All with COMPLETE success of not trashing the wet Stickles.
Now if I just had an Arabic friend to send it to that would be great because their right way to read is our backwards way to read!
WHAT A DORK!
How I get through the day must be a small miracle LOL
I am posting this for 2 reasons.  1. It's funny to see that not all cards end well.  They just don't LOL and 2. This is a really good sneak peek of the new Thanks For All Things set that will be available for purchase on the 5th!
I am going to be doing all the Unity challenges over at SCS today!  You should join me!

Growing In Unity Day 2

Hi!  How are you today???
For today I have a mini card to stick in a gift bag!  I used several different {ippity} stamp sets on this one. Book It is the background.  I used the flower from Now and Always I stamped it 3 times the largest on the Basic Grey paper is embossed so it stand out a little more.  I cut it out and layered it, easy as can be!  That little gem is from these fun color coordinated embellishment packs I pick up from Hobby Lobby.  I used the banner from Love In Return I embossed it and cut it out and then I stamped the Happy Birthday from How You Doin'?  [I seriously can't even type that without laughing and hearing Joey from Friends say that!]   The twine was white but I put it on my Chestnut Roan Chalk ink pad and smashed it down with my rub on tool until it was completely brown!  After it was dry I cut a slit in the card and wrapped it around a few times!

All of the {ippity} stamps are on sale for 20% off and I charge exact shipping!  I have twine for sale for $2.50 for 25 yards and free shipping!

Please leave a comment every day this week. That will be 5 chances to win a prize from Unity! Every day I'll put your name in a jar and Saturday morning I'll have my girls draw a name and Unity and I will send you a prize! Morgan will pick a name for a prize from Unity and Carlee pick a name and I'll send you an assortment of Twine! Be sure to leave a way for me to reach you!

The stamps you get to choose from are Margarita Moments, Along for the Ride, Berry Good Life or Grow Yourself Extraordinary!!

So after a year of blogging, I feel comfortable enough to share...

the ugliest card on the planet!  LOL
Sometimes things just keep going from bad to worse.  Even in the card making world.  I adore squares.  Anyone who knows me, knows this.  Well I wanted to use some crackle paint.  It had dried up so I added some water and got to painting my little heart out!  When these little gems dried the were rolled up like little new leaves.  It took a lot of glue dots [4 for each square] and glossy accents to get them flat.  I was so involved getting them to stick I some how missed how ugly the card was.  Well butterflies can fix just about anything right?  So I embossed and cut and carefully attached their little bodies so their wings could still flutter.  Then I stitched their little trails.....  Well then I wrote my sister a lovely letter, threw on the ribbon and mailed it off.  I thought at least it will make her LOL when she opens it.  LOL If you too would like to take a shot at the worlds ugliest card.  Get a card, some crackle paint, a square punch, some Basic Grey paper, some brownie AC EP, a black pen and Now & Always {ippty} stamp set and throw it all together.  LOL  If you are only interested in darling cards don't use it all at the same time!  LOL

I have this small little additction to squares......

I love everything about them.  I love how easily they can make a card so cute!
I stamped 4 with Book It, 4 with Dots For Sure and 4 with A Bit of Burlap using 3 different colors of ColorBox ink that matched the colors in the Basic Grey paper I stamped the butterflies on.  They are from Now and Always, I embossed them with Black powder from Stampendous.  The Thanks is from Regal Greetings.  I used Chestnut Road to ink all the edges.  This card was fast and fun!
