Welcome to our January Blog Hop!

Our theme is Valentines Day!  I hope you arrived here from Robin's Blog!  Isn't her work AWESOME?  If you didn't, you should head over to the START of the hop so you don't miss any of our amazing designers!
My 3 year old wanted me to throw away a Groovy Girl outfit because it was torn.  As I was dropping it in the trash I decided I loved that sash.  Have you ever followed the New Dress A Day Blog?  She inspires me!  So I ripped it off and thought I am going to make a card with THAT!  And off I went.   I really love this A7 Scallop Card! The stamp is an {ippity} set called Straight From The Heart.  I embossed it with American Crafts Brownie EP.  Then I smeared Stickles all over it because
I love bling!
I added this Heart Pop-Up Insert for a little bonus!  I used more Stickles and the sentiment is also from Straight From The Heart.
I love the Gable Box - Tall!  There is so much room to decorate!  I made a little pocket and used my Corner Chomper to decorate the corners.  My fantastic scrappin' buddy Becky gave me a whole sheet of Valentine's tickets to use!  The 'stitching' is a stamp from {ippity}'s Quotes A'La Happy embossed in Stampendous' red metallic EP!
Then last, but certainly not least I used a A2 Card and on some plain white squares I stamped the Love stamp from Because of You also by {ippity} I inked the edges with Chestnut Roan ColorBox Chalk Ink and tied a ribbon from my stash on.  Then I had 3 Heart # 1 - Small's cut in tacky tape.  I peeled off one side and dunked it in Doodlebug's Sugar Coating Glitter then stuck them on the squares.
Thanks so much for hopping with us today!  We hope we have inspired you send a little Valentine's Love!  :)

More random layouts

This is a Me and My Big Ideas chipboard set I got from Hobby Lobby.  That frame is a Spellbinders die that I also embossed with polka dots.  Don't you love it with a baby is so asleep their arms go over their head?  It's like they have surrendered.  I am however REALLY in love with Carlee's darling arms.  I'll bet I have kissed them eleventy billion times :)
Here is my favorite hunter.  I love how gentle he is in these pictures while wearing all his hunting garb.  :)  That Rub-On is from My Mind's Eye and that is another Quickutz font but I can't remember which one LOL
Morgan is such a fantastic big sister.  She spent hours and hours holding Carlee.  Now 3 years later when they fight like screaming banshees I like to look at these layouts. LOL  The bigger heart is an {ippity} stamp from Here and Now.  The little heart is a Unity stamp from KOM 08/08 Remember Happiness.    The frame is another Unity stamp from KOM 11/08 Enjoy Your Story...laugh.  So This is Love is an {ippity} stamp from So This Is Love.  The ribbon is from my stash.  There is that Corner Chomper again!  Can you tell my fabulous boss gave me 2 of them for Christmas?  LOL  That is another Quickutz font.  I pulled out my Squeeze and am using it and all the time again like I used to pre-Cricut.  :)
This is my oldest nephew, Ross.  I adore this kid.  I really love how much he loves Carlee too.  It's so cute!  With 16 years between them they will never bicker at one another.  Now that Carlee is 3 she has imaginary friends which is SUPER CUTE!  Morgan never had one.  Carlee's favorite is Ross.  She takes him every where we go and more than once I have whipped the back door of the car back open to a SCREAMING baby to let Ross in.  I have been told to get off  Ross, what if I hurt him?  I have even given Ross a cookie.  If anyone ever calls CPS on us they see me feeding an imaginary child do you think they will haul me off and take my girls from me?  LMAO  The DP is My Mind's Eye, the shape is a Sizzix die and the stamps is an {ippity} from Because of You.

Just some random scrapbook pages

Morgan has been making all of our mashed potatoes for years now.    She ROCKS at it!
Another thing Morgan is good at is taking pictures.  She takes  million of them and I can't leave any out.  Carlee is so cute we can hardly stand it LOL
Everything is from my super old stash.
I think this is a Quickutz font called Vixon?  I could be wrong and honestly I am just too lazy to go look  LOL  I need to start making notes on my scrapbook pages like I do my cards!
Thanks for stopping by today!  I have another crop to attend tomorrow!  YIPPEE!!!!

A prayer request for my baby!

This is Carlee as most of you know. She turned 3 in October.  She is a Little Person.  She has the best kind of Dwarfism there is to have.  She has Achondroplasia.  She has not had a single health issue.  So when she quit eating last week I took her to the Dr.  Ears were fine, strep test was negative.  No fever, nothing.  They said sometimes with bladder issues babies will quit eating and they may not know to say that their stomach hurts.  Which is really their bladder??  So we had to get a pee sample.  I made her sit on her potty until she did it.  She screamed and cried it sucked a whole lot.  She refuses to use the potty chair.  Today the Dr called to tell me she has a urinary tract infection.    They think this also may be why she won't pee in the potty, not just because she is the most stubborn baby you will ever set your two eyes on  LOL  So she started 10 days of antibiotics tonight.  Then on the 22nd she has to go back to Children's Hospital and have an ultra sound on her kidney's followed by a VCUG.  I called my sister and completely fell apart about this.  I hate that she has been in pain and I just thought she was being stubborn.  I hate that I beg her every. damn. day. to use the potty.  She screams and cries and I never make her [except to get the sample] but I hate that I keep bugging her and she didn't know to tell me it hurts.  I hope once again she shows them that she is fine.  We used to go to a team of specialists.  We paid 5 Dr's copays plus the hospital copay every month!  They all told us how perfect she was so we quit going.  Our regular Dr. only charges us one copay and she tells us how perfect Carlee is.  :)  I do not like Children's Hospital and all and I HATE that I have to take Carlee there.  I want her kidney's to function perfectly and I want this to be nothing more that a waste of time again.
To keep this scrappy.  LOL  This is the last page of her 4th album I just finished.  She isn't even a month old here.  LOL  So by her first birthday I should have about 44 sixty page albums completed LOL  Do you see how cute she is?  With the 3 of us taking pictures of every thing she did there is lots of scrapping to do LOL

Thanks for stopping by today!  Please pray for Carlee that her kidneys are just fine.  I can't keep falling apart about this.  Like my sister said they don't give really sick babies 10 days of antibiotics at home.  All I have to do is be sure to get the next 10 days of doses in her to get this UTI fixed.  THEN I can worry about what the US and X-rays show.  I see lots of snuggle time coming up.  YIPPEE!!  That's my favorite!

One Day At A Time!

Things really don't seem so bad if you just look at it like it's one day.  We can all deal with one day at a time right?

I love these {ippity} stamp sets.  I love to mix them up!  The sentiment is from What Matters Most and the cute House is from Devoted.  I embossed everything in Black powder by Ranger and covered everything else in Stickles!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

So after a year of blogging, I feel comfortable enough to share...

the ugliest card on the planet!  LOL
Sometimes things just keep going from bad to worse.  Even in the card making world.  I adore squares.  Anyone who knows me, knows this.  Well I wanted to use some crackle paint.  It had dried up so I added some water and got to painting my little heart out!  When these little gems dried the were rolled up like little new leaves.  It took a lot of glue dots [4 for each square] and glossy accents to get them flat.  I was so involved getting them to stick I some how missed how ugly the card was.  Well butterflies can fix just about anything right?  So I embossed and cut and carefully attached their little bodies so their wings could still flutter.  Then I stitched their little trails.....  Well then I wrote my sister a lovely letter, threw on the ribbon and mailed it off.  I thought at least it will make her LOL when she opens it.  LOL If you too would like to take a shot at the worlds ugliest card.  Get a card, some crackle paint, a square punch, some Basic Grey paper, some brownie AC EP, a black pen and Now & Always {ippty} stamp set and throw it all together.  LOL  If you are only interested in darling cards don't use it all at the same time!  LOL

Quick post today!

I was just messing around and got lucky on this card!
I had leftover BG pattern paper on my desk and this Scallop Border A2 card already ran through my CuttleBug with the Textile folder.  I  I threw it together in about 5 minutes.  The stamps are {ippity} Regal Greetings.  The ribbon is from American Crafts!  The label is a Sizzix die that I LOVE called Ornate Label #4.  I bought it at Michael's.

The pages go together quickly and they are fun to embellish!
I have used a ton of Stickles, ink and stamps to decorate it!
14 months of my favorite pictures of my girls is all I had to order to complete it.
I used lots of {ippity} stamps to mark birthday, anniversary's and themes to the bottom part of the calendar!

Happy New Year!!

Well 2010 was pretty fun for me!  I have no regrets and am looking forward to 2011!  :)
I've seen lots of posts about favorite layouts, cards, pictures, blog posts, etc.
I just have 3 favorite people and 2 favorite cats.  Here they are.
Carlee the swimmer sportin' her Snooki poof!
This one is just to show you how big Sassy is.  She is as big as Carlee.  They are the best of friends!
This is Bryan.  He is the best man in the entire world!
This is Morgan who is 13 and she gets prettier every day!
Here is a good picture of Sassy hanging with her favorite kid!
Last, but not least, Cali.  Who was the worst kitten in history.  LOL

I made all my goals for 2010.  I wanted to do 365 pages and I did 367.
I wanted to make 100 cards and I did 200!

For 2011 I have some goals.  I'd like to exercise more, eat less, drink less beer and scrap more pages!  :)  Oh and keep the house a little cleaner.

I think I'll keep the same goals 365 pages and 100 cards.  I want to make less cards and more pages this year.  I am 4 years behind on the girls albums LOL  So I am not going to up the card total.  The page total was hard to accomplish.

Thanks for swinging by my blog!  I hope 2011 is fantastic for all of you!
