Welcome to our November Blog Hop!

Today we are all about Christmas and Thanksgiving or Fall!  I hope you arrived here from The Scrap-a-Teeny blog!  Isn't Kim's work amazing?   If you didn't please head over to the start of the hop!  I'd hate for you to miss anything! Please excuse the vintage look of all my pictures today.  The baby had a fine time with all the buttons on the Rebel and this is what I get now.  :)  She knows the Santa stamp from Ink-a-Dink-a-Do is vintage-y so she fixed the camera.  :)

I LOVE the Filigree labels.  You can get them in squares, or rectangles!  You can get them in albums or cards!  Or just the shapes like I did!  I cut My Mind's Eye paper into 1" squares and ran them through my X-Box Zyron.  I put them really close and even over-lapping on printer paper.  Then I took them over to Creative Cuts and had them  cut.  I also had them cut in Jupiter Stardream for the cards I covered with the squares.
I love the A2 cards.  I love using them both ways.
Naturally I had to put them all in a Card Portfolio so I have a perfect give ready to give away!  I didn't say Merry Christmas on them.  Santa says Thank You too, don't you know?  :)
Then I made a Box Basket with Handle!  It was SUPER easy to score and assemble with brads!  No adhesive was needed!  I alternated mini brads with star brads.  Then I poked a star brad through the ribbon and the handle and attached it.  It was that easy and it took about 5 minutes.  These will be place settings on my Christmas table filled with red and green MnM's!
For my 3rd and final Christmas project I made an angel ornament for each of my girls.  I had the angel cut in chipboard and vellum.   These are double sided.  So for each one you need 2 in chipboard and 2 in vellum.  $1.00 for an ornament!  I painted my chipboard silver with Making Memories paint.  I used 3 coats and then only attached the body of the angel.  I cut the vellum head part off and creased the wings.  Then I put a loop of ribbon in between and glued the chipboard together.  SUPER easy and FUN to make!
Thanks so much for hoppin' by today!

WCMD Unity Challenge #13, Wendy challenged us to use paint!!

OK, we can't love all the cards and I do NOT love this one LOL.  I painted a brown card white them brown then white and it looks like camo or something LOL  Luckily the stamps are super cute LOL  They are Unity's KOTM November 2009!

WCMD Unity Challenge #12, Shemaine challenged us to use a photo!!

I'm am sorry to toot my own horn but I ROCKED this!  I could have done it with my eyes closed and it would have ROCKED!  I could be a tad biased, but that baby of mine is YUMMY!!!  Can you stand it?  Her little scrunchy mouth and hands.  YUM!  The darling stamp didn't show up very well in the picture.  It is the Unity November '09 KOTM Simply Magical.  The buttons are from a Bag 'O Buttons [that was seriously the name LOL]  I used Bazzil Bling and Studio G ink.  I attached all the buttons with Zots glue dots!

WCMD Unity Challenge #11, Brooke's Stitch on a card Challenge

It takes me so long to change the thread in my Janome!  LOL  If I would just use it more often it would get easier wouldn't it?  LOL  This was a time consuming but fun card for me!  I used Unity's KOTM June 2009 Perfect In Every Way!  I love this set it's super cute!   I used my Versafine pad and added some Stickles!  Super easy!

WCMD Unity Challenge #10, Kimber's Pop-Up Card Challenge

Kimber's challenge was fun!  Seems like a regular card right.  I used Unity's KOTM October '09 Wherever You Go.
Then when you open it a Monkey pops out!  How fun  LOL
Can you see that he is attached to a little pop out shelf?
Super Easy!  Want to try one?  Pop-Up A2 Insert - Horizontal - One Pop-Up Bar with A2 Card  Want a discount?  To get 10% off use this code: CC&M10Noelle!  Have fun!

WCMD Unity Challenge #9,Maren's Lots of Ribbon Challenge

I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ribbon!  This one was a piece of cake!  First I also LOVE the Apron card! I put down rows of Killer White Tear-able Tape and then alternated the polka dot ribbon and the eyelet lace ribbon.  Both from Hobby Lobby!  The stamp is from my all time FAVORITE Unity set!  Homemade By!  I added some Glossy Accents and used the Gelly Roll pen to add some dimension.  Super fun card to make!  I need to have a party and use these and the invites!

WCMD Unity Challenge #8, Julie's Mini Card Challenge

How do you spell a whistle?  Can you see how clean and crisp Unity stamps emboss?  I LOVE that!  These stamps are AWESOME!!! I got mine HERE!  You should get one too, you won't be sorry and you too will want to know how to spell a whistle sound!  :-)  Julie had us make a cute little 3.5 x 3.5 card.  It was perfect for this dress form.  The white is Bazzil Bling and the blue is Bazzil Smoothie.  Both scraps!  No paper was harmed in the making of this little card!  ;-)  I used Diamond stickles on the belt.  I am going to make up a bunch of these, they are perfect for gift bags!  I wish you could see how shiny everything is!

WCMD Unity Challenge #7, Jess' Soaring Challenge

I have no idea what has gotten into me!  I keep cutting out all my stamped images!  I NEVER cut!  I cut like a 5 year old!  Now all of a sudden I am a cutting fool, maybe one day I'll be a pro right?  LOL  This curved sentiment probably goes above the balloon but I really like it underneath it!  Like a mountain or something under the soaring balloon.  These stamps are from my December KOTM 2009 Delightful Moments.  I used my all time favorite Chestnut Roan ColorBox ink, and naturally I piled on Stickles, yellow, cinnamon and diamond!  As always my card came from Creative Cuts and More where you can get a whole TON of Cards!!  If you want to save 10% use this coupon code: CC&M10Noelle!

WCMD Unity Challenge #6, Natalie's Distressing Challenge

This one was right up my ally!  I usually distress everything.  Rough it up, throw ink on it, make it better!  :-)  I used the BEST tape to attach this card!  It's NEW!  It's HOT!  It's CHEAP!  55 yards!  YES!!  FIFTY-FIVE yards of Killer White Tear-able Tape!!  It's at a low introductory price of a whopping $6.00!!!  I made 8 cards last night and this morning and I used it on every one!  At eleven cents a yard it is so affordable!  Want to save even more?  Like 10%?  Use the coupon code CC&M10Noelle!  Happy Shopping!

I ADORE this bird stamp.  I got it from some of my best gal pals The Scrap-a-Teeny girls!  The friend to friend stamp came from Unity KOTM June 2009.    I used Coordinations paper with the Perfectly Paisley CuttleBug folder.  I sanded it with my Tim Holtz sander which I LOVE, if you don't have one get one!  I roughed up the edges image sheet with my Heidi Swap edge distresser which I also really like!  All of the ink is ColorBox chalk in warm violet.  The floss is by Making Memories!

WCMD Creations With Christina Challenge #8

This is the last of Christina's Challenges!  I had SO MUCH FUN on Saturday!  She and Teri did a great job and I LOVED every challenge.  Thanks so much!  I can't wait for next year!  :-)
Challenge #8 was to use a pumpkin from any Cricut Cartridge.  I used Everyday Paper Dolls!  I cut it in orange, green and brown and layered them.  The ribbon is from my stash.  The sentiment is from Studio G.  The paper is Bazzil and I got the card from Creative Cuts and More!
I can't believe I did thirteen blog posts in one day!  I must be a pro now LOL  I only have 19 more Unity challenges to do in the next 10 days!  I can do it!  I'm shooting for 3 a day!

WCMD Creations With Christina Challenge #7

I can't lie.  This card was made for a Unity Challenge.  It was to stamp on fabric.  Which I did.  I used Prima packing twill flipped over!  I stamped all over it see??  Then I used my EK punch to make the circles and then I guess I got 'punchy'  LOL  I went and found some Kelly Panacci SANDYLION stamps!  WHAT A DORK!!!  Lucky for me, Christina posted to make a birthday card WITHOUT using Happy Birthday!  SCORE!!!  I never get lucky like that LOL

WCMD Creations With Christina Challenge #6

#6 was Make a card using a fall image or fall stamp.  The leaves are falling around here so I used a bare tree!  The owl has 'fallen' from the tree maybe?  LOL  I know what a dork!  These stamps are from Hampton Art.  His ears look like I caught edge on the stamp, but really that is how the stamp is.  A little weird but still cute!  The tag is a SU! punch.  The ink is chalk ink by Colorbox in Chestnut Roan my all time favorite ink pad!  The Happy Fa;; Y'all is a dollar stamp and I think it's a Studio G.  It could be an Inkadinkado one though.

WCMD Creations With Christina Challenge #5

This one was fun!  I love making tags!  The tag is from DMND, must be 10 years old LOL The stamp game from a Walmart set a few Christmas' ago.  The ribbon is just from my stash.  I used Red and Frosted Lace Stickles.  And My Palette Hybrid ink pad!

WCMD Creations With Christina Challenge #4

This one was a color challenge!  Use orange, green & purple!  The paper is DoodleBug! It is super beautiful, flicked and everything but I could not get a good picture.  In real life this card is very colorful!  The stamp is a dollar stamp by Studio G I think.  The ribbon is from Big Lots and all the 'dots' are purple Stickles.

WCMD Creations With Christina Challenge #3

Sorry the glare is so bad.  I couldn't get it to get off there!  LOL  #3 was to make a Christmas card!  How easy was that?  I used a scrap piece of Karen Foster paper left over from making a calendar!  Then I got the 25 with my Cuttin Up cartridge and used EK pop-dots!  Easy as pie!

WCMD Creations With Christina Challenge #2

This one was  to make a card with PINK!  Not hard for me LOL  Pink is my favorite color!I really like the Sizzix texture plate.  But I am sick of this:

I broke my C plate a few days ago and now my B plate!  My C plate was SO used LOL  Hundreds of cuts and it finally just snapped.  This one I followed the sandwich I got off Split Coast and it shattered it!  :-(
So if someone could please tell me how to use my Fiskars, SU!, and Sizzix texture plates I would be forever grateful!  I used Clear & Simple's Stamps [the store part of their site seems to be down at the moment, so I can't link it for you.] on a Sizzix label die that I LOVE!!  [I got mine at Michael's.]  The ribbon is actually from the packaging of a pair of pajamas!  LOL  The ink is from a really old dauber thing that is double ended.  I LOVED those things and was sad to see them go.  I hope this card sits in my box for a hundred years.  :-)

WCMD Creations With Christina Challenge #1

This was a sketch challenge!  I LOVE sketches!!  The pattern paper is from Twinkle Twinkle Little GIRL by My Mind's eye!  I used my SU! corner punch to make the ticket.  The pink flower is Making Memories *I THINK* I am nit 100% sure on that.  The brown one is Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.  The gem is from a little kit I also got at Hobby Lobby from Paper Studio.  It has buttons, flowers and gems in it.  The ribbon is American Crafts.  and the card is an A2 from CC&M.

WCMD Unity Challenge #5, Pamela's Stamping on Fabric Challenge

LOL  This was a bust for the most part LOL
I tried to emboss on some grosgrain ribbon.  As you can see that was a big hot mess!  LOL  Then I ditched the embossing and tried to stamp with my Palette Hybrid pad and it ran all over, another big hot mess!  LOL
I finally, 3rd time is always a charm right? had success with my Versafine black ink pad on some Martha Stewart Wood grain ribbon in Dove White.  Pamela, this was definitely a challenge for me!  :)  The stamps which I LOVE are from my Unity KOTM October '09.  The gems are by Studio G!

That beautiful wine glass was my Mom's.  I don't like wine so I never use it except for Pudding In a Cloud on Thanksgiving and Christmas.  I thought it made a super cute prop!  :)

WCMD Unity Challenge #4, Christi's Inspiration Challenge

I LOVED this challenge!  I found many things to inspire me from the picture Christi posted.  I embossed the actual card with my Sizzix Diamond embossing Folder.  I punched out the vase [punch bunch] using acetate and ran it through my CB too!  Then I smashed it into my Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink pad so it would show up better.  The ribbon is from my stash, as well as the brads.  The flowers are a Sizzix die by Basic Grey, it was free with some embossing folders!  It's called a Snow Flower.  I hand cut the stems.
I noticed while taking the pictures I didn't use a stamp!  WHAT A DORK!  LOL  So I added the enjoy from my Unity KOTM June '09 Perfect In Every Way!

WCMD Unity Challenge #3, Jimmi's Color Challenge

I have completed 5 of the challenges so far and this is my favorite card.  The colors Jimmi picked fell together perfectly.  I used an A2 card from Creative Cuts & More.  I used 2 McGill stacking Deco Square punches to layer with.  I used Unity's KOTM June 2009 Perfect In Every Way I paper pieced on the cherries.  I stamped them on red, green and brown scrap cardstock.  I cut out the brown stems and layered them on the red.  Then cut out the Green leaves and layered them on the red as well.  I added Glossy Accents to the cherries to make them shiny like real cherries are LOL.  I couldn't make the grey color in the challenge work, I was really glad when I re-read you can use all or some of them. LOL  The Prima flowers are from the June Rose bottle.  I used Palette ink in Black and the brads are from my stash, but I am almost positive they are Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.

WCMD Unity Challenge #2, Lesley's Shaker Card

I am sure there is no reason to point this out, but this is my first shaker card LOL  That is a zip lock bag sandwiched between the window and backed with white cardstock!  I cut off the ziplock part and closed it with doublesided tape LOL  Yesterday I went to Terry's house and she showed me how to make a real shaker card and even gave me a kit!  So there will be more of these in my near future!  LOL

I got the card from Creative Cuts and More!  It is the Fancy Frame Window A7 Card - Horizontal   I love how you can use it like I did or turn it to the right and have a different look!  I used Pink Paisley glitter, 2 studio G gems and a Making Memories Grommet that says inspire.  The stamps are Unity's KOTM November 2009.  It says "All you need is faith, trust & pixie dust..."  How true is that?  :)  I embossed it with Ranger's Polysparkle EP.

I had the BEST WCMD!  I did so many things I am not used to doing!  I love a good challenge, Don't you?

WCMD Unity Challenge #1 AJ's paper piecing request

I'd like to start this post with a disclaimer LOL  I cut a lot like a 5 year old.  :-)
This was actually a fun challenge for me!  I started with the Fiskars paper from my stash of leftovers.  Then I picked out the tape player.  I stamped it on silver reptile paper and  watermelon sensation scraps.  I cut out the handle, speakers and buttons and glued them on.  The black ribbon is from a gift set of eye shadow I got my 13 year old for Christmas!  The gems are all from the dollar bins at Michael's from Studio G.  The sentiment and image are from The December '09 KOTM by Unity.

Today's Cards!

I completed all 8 of Creations With Christina [and Terri]'s challenges.

I also got 5 of the TWENTY plus challenges for Unity done!  LOL  I have big plans for the rest, but all the blog posts are really pushing me back to just scrapping the girls LOL.

I also have a secret to share!  That middle make a wish card with the 3 circles with gifts and cake?  That was for a Unity challenge.  Only I totally got confused and used Kelli Panni stamps LMAO  DORK!  So then I switched over to Unity and I tried to stamp the Rock On card above.  Only I wanted to emboss.  It turned into a big hot mess!  I wanted to pitch the whole shootin' match in the trash.  Then I thought I might actually like the hot messy mess.......

You may or may not see this card again!  That is all I have to say about that!  LOL

I need to do a blog post on every card I make to complete the challenge.  You may or may not get them.  LOL  Blogging is not a quick, easy thing for me.  Plus once I post on top of the other post no one will see it.  BUT  I want the prizes  LOL  Can you imagine winning any of the 8 prizes from Creations With Christina?  Or an ENTIRE YEAR of Kit Of The Month from Unity??

I'll keep on keeping on  LOL  I have 2 weeks for Unity and forever for Creations With Cristina.  Maybe I can do it?  LOL

More soon, LOL

HAPPY WORLD CARD MAKING DAY!!!

It is almost 6 PM and I just finished my 8th card!  This has been so much fun!!  I don't know who made the darling image above, but I keep seeing it so I thought I would use it!

I have a lot of wet Stickles and Glossy Accents so I think the blog posts will have to wait until tomorrow evening!  I am doing Creations With Christina 8 challenges and over TWENTY with Unity!  What are the chances I will do over 28 blog posts????   LOL  Pretty slim, but I hope to make over 28 cards in the next 2 weeks!

What a blast!  I am listening to music really loud and listening to a Lilian Jackson Braun book when I don't feel like dancing LOL

I took a shower at almost 4PM and I jumped in to a clean pair of pajamas!

This has been a PERFECT day!  AND It's Bryan's daughter's Birthday today!  Happy Birthday Kim!

More, LOTS more LOL very soon!
