The Cropping Corner a.k.a.

my favorite place on earth! I think I started working there in 2004. I am one of the lucky few that gets to go to work and have fun all day long. Pat, the owner of Cropping Corner is way more than a boss to me. She is my go-to gal. One of my most favorite people. I call her all the time with pesky questions like "Did you know canned pumpkin is seasonal?" Or If a recipe calls for cooked chicken "How do I cook the chicken?" Or "OH MY GAWD I AM PREGNANT!" I am still not sure why I called and yelled at her when the test turned positive but I did LOL I call her for everything. She didn't choose to be my person but she has accepted the position! :-) I am 3 years behind in Morgan's album. This is back in January of 2007. She is only 9 here. Look how cute she is! She used to love going to work with me. She would draw pictures about how much she loved the Cropping Corner. She took all these pictures. Except the stickles one, they were too high to get a good shot I can remember her saying LOL She loved the punch wall. [We have over a thousand punches here at the house, that love is genetic I'm pretty sure LOL]
I had fun looking at all the old stuff we used to carry. The font is Spicy Chicken a Quickutz Revolution set. The second I saw this I fell in love with it. I could not stop talking about it. It was $199.00 and I just couldn't justify the expense. Well Bryan the best DH on earth kept hearing me talk about it. So he goes to Freeze Frame [a local scrap store that I miss SO VERY MUCH!] and tells them he would like to buy his wife "The Funky Chicken" and would they surprise her at the weekend crop we were all going too. How awesome is he? Kim and Lori however were rolling on the floor once they figured out he wanted to buy Spicy Chicken and that I was his wife. Everyone loves Bryan he is really funny even when he doesn't mean to be :-)

These flower cluster came about because last weekend I was scrappin' with my BFF Heather and she made some on her page. So I C.A.S.E.'d her. She has such great ideas and makes me life much easier with I just copy everything she does. :-) I am pretty sure all the flowers are Prima except for the metal one which a a Making Memories grommet setter I HAD to have and it is such JUNK! I couldn't even use the tools I just did it with a hammer. If only we all had the cash we have blown one bad tools..... LOL
The journaling says: "Mom's favorite place on earth! I am so lucky to love my job! You get to come with me and most days you aren't that bored!" 01-04-07
Thanks for looking! I hope you guys love your job too! :-)
What useless too have you bought and wish you hadn't? The Provo Craft Sew Mini? The Making Memories Grommet Setter? The EK Fasenator in BOTH sizes? The Basic Grey Slot tool?? I could go on and on.......

I am so lame at blogging!

I can't help it! I am too busy scrapping and making cards and too lazy to take the pictures and post them LOL Carlee is shocked at my behavior! So I thought I better check in. Share my girls, it's been a while like since my first post since you have seen them. Here they are eating breakfast. Which they do well LOLI can't get them to both smile at the same time ever. LOL Morgan doesn't read my blog so she will not be able to kill me for posting these. LOL
I think they are so very funny. They look at me like this all the time. Usually like I have lost my mind or am speaking a foreign language! LOL
Thanks for looking and I promise to try to do better. Maybe next time they will both be dressed and looking really cute. LOL
Oh and the cereal, Honey Bunches of Oats is their most favorite! :-)

When it gets a little closer to Christmas I'll add a packet of hot chocolate and a candy cane! I used Diva Drops, a rub-on and a stamp.
I love this A7 scallop card! Anything with a scallop makes me happy! I used more rub-ons and the holly leaves with berries.
This Decorative Window A7 card is another of my very favorites. I love that rub-on peeking out! The snowflakes and Diva Drops are fun too!
I know I say all the cards are my favorite LOL But don't you love this Fancy Frame Window A7 Card? I love window cards! The pattern paper and the ribbon come in the kit as well and you get a TON of it!This Standing Pop-up Card is so easy to make you can't believe it!
I used two stamps on this one. Isn't that Hot Chocolate stamp so cute?

This Circle Small window A2 Card is fun too! I love the Polar Bear stamp too.

Pocket cards are fun to make too! This Tag Pocket Card is quick to put together and fun to decorate.
I thought this Accordion Insert with A6 Card was going to be hard to put together. I saved it for last in case I decided not to do the entire kit LOL I was wrong! It was easy to put together and didn't take any extra time!

I used a piece of elastic string from my jewelry making stash to hang the little tag. You could use string or floss or thread.
This Arch Window A6 card is cut in Stardream Citrine Metallic Cardstock. It is so beautiful! You can't capture that paper's beauty in a picture. You will just have to trust me, it is GORGEOUS!
OK, last but certainly not least, The Square Scallop Card! I love square cards and adding that scallop makes me very happy! :-)
I stamped or used a rub-on to decorate all the envelopes. I made all these cards in 2 nights and under four hours! The only things I used on all of these cards and envelopes that is NOT in the kit are ink, adhesive and the stretchy string! I have TONS of left over stuff to make layouts with as well! This kit is AWESOME you will love it and you might just be the lucky one to win it! Now it's time to hop on over to Kayla's Blog! She does amazing work so prepare to be amazed. Thanks for hopping along with us today! I hope you are motivated to get started on all your Christmas projects!

I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was one ugly virus. I would not wish that on anyone. So many people were so good to me while I was sick! I finally went back in my stamp room Monday night to whip out a couple of thank you cards! I made two of these. One for Pat and one for Judie. I am lucky enough to get to work with them at The Cropping Corner. Judie came and took my girls to the park one day and Pat brought over the yummiest dinner [I've ever not been able to swallow LOL] another day. Bryan, Morgan and Carlee gobbled it up! [I'm thinking she might make it again because I couldn't eat it the first time LOL]

The stamps are Autumn Leaves, I really love the font! The flowers are Prima and these particular ones are my favorite. They are not Prima's best, but I adore the jars. When my Mom was dying I was so miserable and needed something to help my heart. I started buying Primas. I bought a TON of them. I have a whole wall full of them and I still smile every time I look at them! I spent way too much money but shopping makes my sister and I happy. With our heavy hearts we bought everything in arms reach and not just in Colorado either LOL We went on a road trip right after our Mom passed away and we bought everything in Arkansas too. LOL I got a little sidetracked LOL Back to the Primas there must be a million in every jar! I use them all the time and they never run out. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Thanks for stopping by today! I'll try to get a little more active now that the virus from you know where is exiting my body. :-)
