Growing in Unity Winner! :)

WOW WOW WOW!!!
There were so many comments there was no way I could put them all in a box and have Carlee draw one.  So I had Carlee pick Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday and she picked Friday!!
Then I had Morgan pick a number from 1 thru 26 and she picked 24!
So:
I have enjoyed your week of post... even if I read them all in one day. You both have given us some great inspiration.

Day 5 of Growing in Unity!

WOW!  What a fun week!  I could post stuff made with Unity every day if blogging was not so time consuming HA!!
Thanks for stopping by all week!  I appreciate it so much!  All of your sweet comments have been awesome!!
As you can see from the amazing card and photography skills Carla was involved on this one too.
On this one she broke out the Spellbinders and amazed me with the mixing of the label and the frame.  AWESOME combo and again it would have never entered my mind.  We are sisters with the same Mom and the same Dad.  Why didn't I get any of that in my head??  Dang, some things are so unfair HA!!!
We used the awesome bike from the June Kit of the Month Love the Little Things.  I LOVE this kit!  Every single image is to die for!  The sentiment and heart are from a little 7 Gypsies kit we found at Hobby Lobby the button, twine and ribbon are from her stash.
Thank you so much for joining me this week.  I love Unity like they are family, being their GIU girl for a week is always an honor!
Carlee will pick a winner on Monday from all the comments this week!
Good Luck!
I am going to miss this designer signature tag :)
I am also going to add this to FWF, you should come join us HERE.  Even more prizes!  *swoon*

Day 4 of Growing In Unity

Hi Peeps!!  OK I don't mean to sound conceited because I am far from it!  What I am though is my sister's BIGGEST fan!
Look at this beautiful card!!
She is so stinking amazing you can't even believe it!  Her cards are awesome even her photographic skills are amazing!  I got to spend a few nights with her in Pueblo this week and we made the last 2 cards at her house and boy can you tell I was not left on my own!  HA!!
She even uploaded them onto the blog for me!  How great is she?  LOVE her so MUCH!
We had the best time shopping and making cards!!

We used Paper Hearts the first Layers of Life {LOL} kit and man do I ever swoon over this beautiful butterfly every time I look at it!!
Carla has the ability to mix pattern paper. I cannot do that.  Look at those banners!  What a great idea!!  I am totally in love with the sequins!  So cheap and easy and darling!  We each bought 5 bags at Hobby Lobby and shared them.  Now we have enough to last for our children's grandchildren *snort*  Carla does something that I love and wanted to share with you.  She is using up old kits.  This paper is My Minds Eye Bohemia she takes whatever scraps are left and just starts whipping out cards.  I wanted a navy blue scrap while I was there. She didn't have any *GASP*  Her room is overflowing with all sorts of stuff and she just starts with whatever is left over and keeps on using it and when I left what was big 12 x 12 pieces of paper were just a few scraps and I am sure they are gone now.  My scraps are taking over my life.  I Noelle Reese solemnly swear to use up all these stinking scraps!  LOL  Plus if you use them then you don't even have to take time to put them away!  SCORE!!
Thanks so much for stopping by again today!
Please leave a comment so you have one more chance to have Carlee pick your name for 2 free itty bitty's!!!
*swoon*  I love this even more every time I get to add it!  :)

Day 3 of Growing In UNITY!

I am having SO much fun, thank you for stopping by today!
This card makes me happy just looking at it.  It always seems like later I think I wish I would have used a kraft card instead of cream or inked the edges or whatever but I love this card!  Even though I didn't emboss *GASP*  I always emboss!  It is my favorite.  But I really wanted to make the paper look like I tore it out of a kraft colored spiral and I didn't want to embossing to crack and pop off in places.  Sometimes I like that to happen.  I guess this time I didn't LOL  I cut in between each hole so they are really separated.  I have never done that before I will definitely do it again.  The paper stamp is from A Love Beyond Measure, one of my fave sets!  That half doily was a free gift from Unity!  Are you guys loving the free gifts with every order as much as I am?  They are so fun and almost as exciting as the stamps!  I love tearing through the box and finding them!  It was white.  I glimmer misted it and it is so sparkly and beautiful!  All the ribbons are from my stash.  This is such a perfect way to use up tiny pieces of leftover ribbon.

I am scheduling these blog posts in case I go visit my sister so it could be sold out now, but the Photos box is still available!  I LOVE this box!  I have the itty bitty one too!  They are AWESOME on my desk and make me smile every time I reach for something!  The flowers are from a recent Hobby Lobby haul I don't remember who made them I put them all in a jar on my flower shelf.  The bird is from Recollections, I love him!  The alpha letters are by Glitz the turquoise lines made it so I would pay any amount for them!  LOL  Lucky for me Michael's had a 40% off alpha sticker sale!
Here is a close up so you can see everything a little bit better.

I make all of my cards from a 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper.  I buy A6 envelopes though.  They give me more room for thicker cards and so things can hang off the edge.  A .46 cent stamp still mails them!
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Please don't forget to leave a comment for your chance to win 2 free itty bitty's!!

Growing In Unity Day TWO!!

Hi Peeps!  Thank you for coming back today!!
Today's card is a special one.

My sweet Mother-in-law sent home her favorite bible as a gift for me, isn't it beautiful?  Such a special gift I can't make a card nice enough for a family heirloom like that.
But I tried.  I used Half of Her Doily on the black paper with clear embossing and I LOVE it.  It is so pretty in real life you can't believe it.  I was worried because the paper is textured, it still turned out so perfect.
It is hard to tell but I embossed the pink strip of paper with a Lifestyle Crafts folder named Doily.  The sentiment is from Thank You Words and the butterflies *swoon* are from the June 2012 KOM Sweet Summer Love.  I wish I could say my 5 year old cut them out, but that would be a fib.  I cut them out and I just don't cut very well....   LOL  The flat back pearls are by Recollections and I spent such a long time getting them all stuck on.  PHEW! They are so tiny and my craft knife kept flinging them all over!  Someone tell me an easier way please LOL
This is a sketch.  An awesome sketch.  Sadly I have no idea where it came from.  I right click on them and if there is more than one I paste them in word and forgot all about writing down where I got it.  The sketch is an oval instead of a circle and the butterflies are stars.  The pearls are dotted lines and on all 4 sides.
Please remember to leave a comment this week, Carlee will be picking a winner for 2 free itty bitty's!
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
PS I am not over how much I love that name tag the fabulous Kelli made me <3 font="">

So please leave me a comment.  At the end of the week I will have Carlee pick a winner!
Ok the card details are lots of washi by Darice, Target and Paper Studio.  The sequins are from Hobby Lobby with brown Studio G glitter glue.  The twine is mine.  Red and brown together.  Washi tape as pattern paper is pretty fun I have to say!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Growing In Unity Day 3!!

Hi Peeps!!  I am posting a little late this morning.  Usually I get up at 5:30 and make Bryan and Morgan a lunch and do a couple of things like start laundry and unload the dishwasher and am down here for a cup of coffee and work by 6:30.  Today I decided no way I am way too tired and I jumped back into bed and slept until 9:30  LOL  Yesterday was crazy I was up at 4:30 and stayed up until midnight.
Enough of that you are here for the Unity not how tired and lazy I am  LOL
Do you love this witch?  Halloween Greetings, Angie and Joslyn did an amazing job!  I used to dislike the faceless stamps, they are growing on me.  Plus every time I use one I giggle over what my nephew said when he was about 4 or 5.  He was looking at one of my sisters cards and he said Hey Mom, give me a pen and I'll fix this for you.  LOL  It was one of those sexy looking stamps I would love to see her with a 4 year old hand drawn face.  I would have given him the pen  LOL
I dropped that negative into the trash and mid air I thought that would be perfect for the inside and I dug it back out LOL  It was a scrap too, sometimes you just get lucky!
Don't be making fun of my coloring skills.  Instead go bug Carisa to make time for me so she can teach me how to color.  LOL
The frame is a Spellbinder one it looks like this:
It is even named Polka Dot Frame.  I was going to cut it in orange black and purple and swap out the dots but they don't cut??  Maybe I am supposed to emboss them?  But I don't know how to do that really?  Do any of you have any pointers for me?
Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Please be sure to leave a comment I get to pick a winner for 2 itty bittys!  YAHOOO!!!!

PS If you can just go back to bed one day this week, it really messing with the house cleaning and if you work from home like I do you will be a little behind, but man I feel great!  I'll bet I am not a grump today!  LOL

Growing In Unity Day 2!!

We LOVE Uncle D!  He moved here when Carlee was almost 6 weeks old.  I remember the first day he arrived and asked if we just had the one cat [Cali gets on people, they know we have her immediately].  I said No, we have 2 but you will never see Sassy she is so shy.  About 5 minutes later Sassy was out and rubbing on him!  Even the cats love him!  LOL

I LOVE SMAK!!  I reach for my SMAK kits every time I make a page!  This one uses January's without YOU what would I DO?
I embossed Urban Chevron in white on brown cardstock and then cut the letters using Roxy by Quickutz.  The D is popped up a little because I glued 3 D's together.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Don't forget at the end of the week Carlee will pick a winner from all the comments and the winner gets 2 itty bitty's of their choice!  YIPPEE!!!!!
And if you feel a shopping urge coming on after the long weekend, head on over to Unity and stock up.  These two are a MUST!

I can not lie to you peeps.  I am not feeling this card!  LOL
I am so far from in the Christmas Spirit it is unreal.  I have no idea why?  Maybe it is too early for me??  LOL  The red paper the sleigh is stamped on is stardream it is so beautiful you can not even believe it.  The snow is velvet paper and this was my first and last time stamping on it.  It didn't turn out as crisp as I like it to.  I also was not sure if it would emboss well or not?  I used glossy accents and stickles all over it and it is so bling-y in real life it can make a girl drool!  LOL
Please head over to SCS and read how you can sign up to be a GIU Peep too!!  You get to pick a free stamp set and play with Unity all week long.  What could be better than that??
Thank you so much for stopping by tonight!

Growing In Unity Day 5

What a fun week this has been!  Thanks so much for coming by all week!  Tomorrow Carlee and Morgan will draw from the jar and I'll do a post on who won!  I am so excited because I won from Lisa last week!

I thought I would end the week with a scrapbook page!  I am actually a scrapbooker and not a card maker LOL  I can just make cards faster and I am always needing a card.

I used me new favorite Unity set called Good Times Vintage Banner!  I LOVE it!  I cut out the banner and strung them together with Twine!

When my baby was a baby she LOVED to be swaddled and was happiest just peeking out of her blanket!

Here is a close up of how cool the banner stamp is!  The flowers are by Prima the font in a Quickutz, Moxie I think.  All the gems are from my stash and most likely from the dollar bins at Michael's!

OK, Blogger is not loading these pictures in the right order.  It also isn't letting me drag them, so instead of getting annoyed I am just leaving them  LOL
The flower is also a Revolution die from Quickutz!

All of the {ippity} stamps are on sale for 20% off and I charge exact shipping! I have twine for sale for $2.50 for 25 yards and free shipping!

Please leave a comment, today is your last chance. You could have 5 chances to win a prize from Unity! Every day I'll put your name in a jar and Saturday morning I'll have my girls draw a name and Unity and I will send you a prize! Morgan will pick a name for a prize from Unity and Carlee pick a name and I'll send you an assortment of Twine! Be sure to leave a way for me to reach you!

Growing In Unity Day 4

Welcome to Day #4!  I apologize, but this fantastic set Sing A New Song is already sold out!  If you would like it I can order it on Saturday and I'll pay the shipping to send it to you because you have to wait so long.  I am not going to place my order until then because things keep selling out!  I am out of 6 sets already!
This was a fun card to make.  I love paper piecing Unity and {ippity} stamps!  It is so easy if you emboss all your images.  It makes cutting them out a breeze!  I love this border punch!  It is by Martha and it's called loopy I think.  I try to write the name of the punch on the punch itself but I didn't on this one.  I embossed the bird 3 times in Brownie, Red and Evergreen all American Crafts Zing EP.  I cut them out and layered them with pop dots!  I wrapped the Twine around a few times and I was done!  EASY!

All of the {ippity} stamps are on sale for 20% off and I charge exact shipping! I have twine for sale for $2.50 for 25 yards and free shipping!

Growing In Unity Day 2

Hi!  How are you today???
For today I have a mini card to stick in a gift bag!  I used several different {ippity} stamp sets on this one. Book It is the background.  I used the flower from Now and Always I stamped it 3 times the largest on the Basic Grey paper is embossed so it stand out a little more.  I cut it out and layered it, easy as can be!  That little gem is from these fun color coordinated embellishment packs I pick up from Hobby Lobby.  I used the banner from Love In Return I embossed it and cut it out and then I stamped the Happy Birthday from How You Doin'?  [I seriously can't even type that without laughing and hearing Joey from Friends say that!]   The twine was white but I put it on my Chestnut Roan Chalk ink pad and smashed it down with my rub on tool until it was completely brown!  After it was dry I cut a slit in the card and wrapped it around a few times!

All of the {ippity} stamps are on sale for 20% off and I charge exact shipping!  I have twine for sale for $2.50 for 25 yards and free shipping!

Growing In Unity Day 1

I am so excited that it is my week to be featured!  I have been addicted to Unity stamps for almost 3 years now.  I've admitted it, I know that is the first step.  I just don't need any help or any recovery.  It's OK!  ;-)  Then they came up with {ippity} and my heart beat kicked up!  I ignored it as long as I could.  I tried very hard to convince myself that I didn't need anything else in my life.  Well, like any other good stamp addict  I caved and signed up as fast as my fingers could type!  I seriously LOVE these stamps!  They stamp perfectly EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!

They emboss so well!  I LOVE embossing and watching that powder melt and make perfect images!  I could do it all day long and never tire of it!
This card uses one of my favorite {ippity} sets,  Because of You!
It is also on sale for 20% off
The Rosettes were made by scoring strips of paper every 1/4" and folding them back and forth accordion style.  Tim Holtz put out a very cool die and has a smaller version coming.  The original is sold out every where all the time.  I can't wait to find it and OWN it!  The bling is from my friend Kim's stash and the ribbon is from Michael's.  My EP is American Crafts Zing in Brownie and I sprayed Chestnut Roan Glimmer Mist  in it and did a sloppy cut.  I like the look of a sloppy cut verses a label die occasionally.  :)

All of the {ippity} stamps are on sale for 20% off and I charge exact shipping! I have twine for sale for $2.50 for 25 yards and free shipping!
