OH EMM GEEE!!! Brown Thursday is my all time FAVORITE!!!

So many releases and so many amazing stamps! 

I have a lot to share with you today so I am going to try to not talk your ears off.  {Yeah, right!}

First up I gabbed these amazing colored pencils by Derwent and I LOVE them.  I borrowed them from my Bestie but I will for sure be buying a set for myself!  They blend like a dream!!

 I am using Hanging In There by Phyllis Harris so cute I always get so excited when she releases new stamps!!  

 I just scribble the pencil right on there.

 Then I dip the blending tool into the Turpenoid and color over it.

 So easy and so much fun!!

Cut the images out and some ink and fun pattern paper and you are done!

See that flower on the banner?  I got hundreds of them at the thrift store for $1.99 then because the tag was a certain color they were 50% off.  Best deal ever!  There are a ton of them and they are so stinkin' cute!

Magical As Snow again by Phyllis Harris.  Same coloring technique, so fun and the best part is EASY!

 How cute is this set?  Lucky Dog!  by Angie Blom!!  That is actually my Husband's nickname and his old hunting team's name.  I can't believe I finally got a great shot using all Bazzil Bling.  I never get that lucky.  I love this paper so much but it sure is awful for pictures usually LOL  I'll never give up on it.  The love for it is real.  LOL

I couldn't resist this super cute photo prop.  This is our dog Abby.  God made her super cute and gave her a PERFECT head tilt.  Because she is one naughty dog!  If I took my eye off her for one second this card would have been a mighty good snack for her paper loving self.  You can see it in her eye she is DYING to snatch it out of my hand.  LOL  She ate a cardboard bank can full of Double Bubble gum once and while she chewed her bubble gum, she ate one of my coffee table scrapbooks.  What she left behind had pieces of chewed gum all over it.  The proof that I didn't kill her is above LOL

Speaking of messes.  Maybe Abby gets it from me.  What a giant mess Good grief!  LOL

 My BFF for the last 20+ years finally got the world's cutest baby!  Oh how I love that Little Man.  She needed some thank you cards from the shower so I made her 30 of these!  So much fun!!  I used Thank You Words and Little Bit Whale. 

I made this book mark for a good friend of mine.  I used Jar of Sunshine, one of my all time favorite sets.  There is no telling how many times I have used this awesome jar, I LOVE it!!  The flowers are from LOL Much of a Good Thing.  

You might have seen these two on the Unity blog already but I thought I'd share them here too.  The flowers are from Flowers + Friends = Priceless and the jar is from Jars of Love x 3.

 This one the girl is from KOM 5/15 Spread Your Wings and the light is from Shine Shine Shine.  

Don't get me wrong, making fun things with all the new releases is AWESOME.  Rootin' through all the old Unity/ippity makes me swoon and dance around my scraproom!  They sure might be old, but never forgotten.  There is plenty of love for all the sets LOL  : )

Growing In Unity Day TWO!!

Hi Peeps!  Thank you for coming back today!!

Today's card is a special one.

 

My sweet Mother-in-law sent home her favorite bible as a gift for me, isn't it beautiful?  Such a special gift I can't make a card nice enough for a family heirloom like that. 

But I tried.  I used Half of Her Doily on the black paper with clear embossing and I LOVE it.  It is so pretty in real life you can't believe it.  I was worried because the paper is textured, it still turned out so perfect. 

It is hard to tell but I embossed the pink strip of paper with a Lifestyle Crafts folder named Doily.  The sentiment is from Thank You Words and the butterflies *swoon* are from the June 2012 KOM Sweet Summer Love.  I wish I could say my 5 year old cut them out, but that would be a fib.  I cut them out and I just don't cut very well....   LOL  The flat back pearls are by Recollections and I spent such a long time getting them all stuck on.  PHEW! They are so tiny and my craft knife kept flinging them all over!  Someone tell me an easier way please LOL

This is a sketch.  An awesome sketch.  Sadly I have no idea where it came from.  I right click on them and if there is more than one I paste them in word and forgot all about writing down where I got it.  The sketch is an oval instead of a circle and the butterflies are stars.  The pearls are dotted lines and on all 4 sides.

Another Unity {Be Inspired} Challenge!

Hi!  I guess I am now a once a month blogger HA!  WHEW life is busy and it seems my poor blog is always last on the list!  I made this card weeks ago!  The challenge ends on the 17th!  I only made it by TWO days!  Have you played yet?  Head on over to the Unity blog HERE to check it out!

 

It's no secret how much I love Unity stamps and the people.  But what I also love is how amazing the DT and fellow Unity fans are.  Be Inspired is a perfect name for these challenges because these girls ROCK.  You have to go see what everyone has made. 
You will want to leave work early, lets the kids have potato chips for dinner and just stamp all night long!  I promise!  There has been more than one morning I have to drag myself from my fantastic bed at 5:30 to go to workout because I stayed up WAY too late stamping!  I happily go because it was so worth it!  LOL

 

I made the card sketch again this month.  I will still make the layout sketch but I doubt it will be in time.  I am working on recipe albums for my coaches at Curves as a little thank you for helping me lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle.

I used Luck All Over for the background just like the sketch.  The LUCKY is from 100% Happy [it is retired and such a DARLING set, one of my favorites!] and the Thanks is from Thank You Words.  You will just have to take my word that Lucky Friend was stamped on the inside LOL  I KNEW I would forget to take a picture of the inside LOL  I embossed it and underlined lucky with Stickles I think.  I am really not able to remember anything anymore LOL
