Hi Peeps!!

Before we get started would you please say a prayer, send positive thoughts, we will take anything you have :)  My brother, Mike had a stroke yesterday.  The next 2 days are crucial for his brain to rest and not to swell from the blood clot removal surgery.  They had to strap him down because he keeps flopping around.  He is such a fighter and he never ever stands still.  He is always fixing something.  I am sure his body is busy fixing his brain and he already has a to do list a mile long for when he gets released.  He is the best Brother, Husband and Dad EVER *heart*

I have been stamping my heart out. I LOVE SUMMER!!  I love having my girls home.  I love pajama days.  I love not keeping an eye on the clock!

Keep Going Anyway  Boy, does this hit me in the feels today!  I wanted to drop out of the hop and just cry over Mike.  He doesn't want me crying.  He wants me happy and we all know my passion for Unity makes me VERY happy *heart*

 Meow Meow Meow People like to call me the crazy cat lady.  Whatever : ) I may or may not have ran into PetSmart on Tuesday for cat litter and stayed and petted a darling cat for over an hour.  I am still considering going back and bringing her home!  The purr of a sweet cat can seriously fix what hurts you *heart*  The glasses crack me up LOL I put Glossy Accents on them too LOL

 I needed a ton of graduation cards.  I always head for Kit Of The Months because they cover everything you could ever need or want!

I love fish almost as much as I love Unity.  We have 4 tanks with lots of fish and 3 Beta's in their own tanks.  I want to put them in the big tanks like other people do.  But I worry so much they will fight and I just can't have a fish fight.  NOT TODAY! LOL

 I am head over heels in love, OBSESSED with START AGAIN, this months Kit of the Month.  I have used so many stamps in this kit.  They all speak to me.  NONE will be left behind.  They emboss so beautifully.  Wait until you see tomorrow's post.  I embossed that butterfly heart in silver on black *GASP*  I am NOT tooting my own own.  I am simply stating if you emboss Unity stamps AMAZING things happen every single time.    That sentiment above is embossed on textured Bazzil and it is clear as can be.

Best. Month. EVER *heart*

OH EM GEEE P!NK was post phoned in Denver for tonight!

So I have time to play in Friends with Flair!  WHOOP!!  There might be beer involved too  LOL

I made this card for a lady I work out with at Curves.  She gave me a bag of their breakfast drink powder and saved me $20.00 how nice was that?? 

The scalloped oval is from Spellbinders.  I love their dies almost as much as I love Unity stamps!

That darling table scene is from Spirit of Summertime.  Being a member of KOM is my birthday present every year.  BEST GIFT EVER!!  My DH LOVES it too because he never has any pressure!  LOL  Our anniversary is 3 days before my birthday so SMAK covers that too!  LOL  The clouds are from No Matter what the Weather.

Inside I used one of my all time favorite Thanks sentiments.  Look at the POLKA DOTS!  Is that not the cutest font ever?  I use it every chance I get.  It is from Delight in Beauty!

PS  I did not tell her I love you  LOL  I said I love the shakes!  They are really YUMMY!  Maybe next time I will remember to take a picture before I scribble all over it LOL

You can't really tell, but I cut out the flowers and then popped them up.  I also popped up the card base. 

Then I covered everything in Glimmer Mist.  The shimmer is unreal.  My pictures don't do it justice!

Day 5 of Growing in Unity!

 

WOW!  What a fun week!  I could post stuff made with Unity every day if blogging was not so time consuming HA!!

As you can see from the amazing card and photography skills Carla was involved on this one too.  

On this one she broke out the Spellbinders and amazed me with the mixing of the label and the frame.  AWESOME combo and again it would have never entered my mind.  We are sisters with the same Mom and the same Dad.  Why didn't I get any of that in my head??  Dang, some things are so unfair HA!!!

We used the awesome bike from the June Kit of the Month Love the Little Things.  I LOVE this kit!  Every single image is to die for!  The sentiment and heart are from a little 7 Gypsies kit we found at Hobby Lobby the button, twine and ribbon are from her stash.

Growing In Unity Day TWO!!

Hi Peeps!  Thank you for coming back today!!

Today's card is a special one.

 

My sweet Mother-in-law sent home her favorite bible as a gift for me, isn't it beautiful?  Such a special gift I can't make a card nice enough for a family heirloom like that. 

But I tried.  I used Half of Her Doily on the black paper with clear embossing and I LOVE it.  It is so pretty in real life you can't believe it.  I was worried because the paper is textured, it still turned out so perfect. 

It is hard to tell but I embossed the pink strip of paper with a Lifestyle Crafts folder named Doily.  The sentiment is from Thank You Words and the butterflies *swoon* are from the June 2012 KOM Sweet Summer Love.  I wish I could say my 5 year old cut them out, but that would be a fib.  I cut them out and I just don't cut very well....   LOL  The flat back pearls are by Recollections and I spent such a long time getting them all stuck on.  PHEW! They are so tiny and my craft knife kept flinging them all over!  Someone tell me an easier way please LOL

This is a sketch.  An awesome sketch.  Sadly I have no idea where it came from.  I right click on them and if there is more than one I paste them in word and forgot all about writing down where I got it.  The sketch is an oval instead of a circle and the butterflies are stars.  The pearls are dotted lines and on all 4 sides.

Unity's KOM is one of my favorite things.  Month after month the images are always so amazing.  I made this card using April's You Make My Heart Puffy

Seriously, I love every single image!  I could just kiss that darling flower giving panda!

When you get to be the GIU gal you get a free stamp set *so exciting*  But even better, YOU get to pick 2 free itty bitties!  If you have some itty bitties already you know that name does not speak the truth!  They are usually giant.  On the rare occasion one is itty I always say out loud awwwww because it is so cute and shocking LOL

Ok the card details are lots of washi by Darice, Target and Paper Studio.  The sequins are from Hobby Lobby with brown Studio G glitter glue.  The twine is mine.  Red and brown together.  Washi tape as pattern paper is pretty fun I have to say!

OK, let's just face it!  I LOVE Unity with all my heart!

Friends With Flair is my favorite and seems to be the only reason I blog any more!  Come join us!  There are two prizes and so. much. inspiration!  Speaking of feeling inspired, did you hop with Unity yesterday?  I cannot get enough of the Unity girls work.  They are all amazing.  Yesterday when I saw Renee's layout I was blown right out of the water.  Go look, you won't be sorry.  When I try piling on stuff it looks like a giant pile of mess.  Renee has a A TON on her layout and all of it is fantastic and the colors are amazing!  Now back to the prizes!  Yesterday I won a FaceBook game!  A $20. shopping spree WHOOP!!!  WHOOP!!!  I happen to be a stellar Unity shopper!  I mean WAY above average!  I hate to toot my own horn but really we are all very good at something and shopping Unity is what I really excel in!  *snort* Bryan brags about me all the time!  LMAO

 

OK, back to FWF.  I might be ignoring my blog but I have a TON of cards to post.  I am stamping almost every night.  I just can't make time for the blog.  *gasp*

The cards below are REALLY hard for me to make.

Some of you may or may not know for my job I assign local numbers to people who are incarcerated so they do not have to pay the crazy long distance fees to talk to those that love them.

Well some of the people on the outside I am very close to and happy to make cards for them to send to their loved ones.  However there are RULES!  No stickers, no layers, nothing removable etc.

They have to be completely flat!  So that leaves stamping and embossing, two of my all time FAVE. things to do!  I also really love punches.  I used to have a tiny little addiction to them....  Unity is much lighter and way easier to store!  *snort*

The card above is Jillibean Soup's Spotted Owl Soup and the punched border is from a Martha punch. 

This one looks like there is black paper behind the Martha punched border like I would normally do but there isn't.

The jukebox is from Rockin’ it Unity Style {kom 3/10}

The other two are from Wherever You Go {kom 10/09}

The sentiment is from Bella Blvd.'s Sweet Celebration Birthday.

Be Inspired

HI GUYS!!!! My blog is fixed!!!! I just tried to upload this card and look there is it! YIPPEE!!!!

Now let's see if it stays there LOL My last post was a Friends With Flair and most people got to see it then the picture just went away and people had to guess what the card looked like from my description LOL

Have you guys seen the new

Unity be inspired Challenge? It is FANTASTIC! There is a card sketch, a layout sketch AND a color inspiration picture. I loved it so much I made it my background picture on my desk top!

I am not going to try to put the sketches in this post and push my luck LOL You can see them if you click on the challenge. :)

I had a blast last night making this. It has been so long since I made a card. I have been cataloging my stamps and my friend Terry's stamps. So I still get to stamp every night but I sure have missed making cards and scrapbooking! I used so many Unity stamps on this there were stamps everywhere! That is my kinds mess! :) The cupcake is a this wood one called Have A Heart Cupcake.

The 3 hearts journaling block is from SMAK Love Story clips 12/12 I just cut it up after I embossed it. The banner is SMAK cre-ate 07/12 and I embossed it with my Swiss Dots CuttleBug folder. The thank you is from Ornate Artisan Stackers and the back ground is from KOM All Hearts and Love 01/13!

Well my blog just made the picture enormous and added spaces to make new paragraphs where they don't belong.  There is no telling what this is going to look like when I publish it LOL  I thought blogging was supposed to be fun??  HA!

It is a cage of kittens.  There are 4 of them and I want them ALL!  I even want Mama her facial expressions while she nurses crack me up!  I nursed Carlee for WAY too long and at the end I think I looked like Mama Cat!  LOL  Last night the owner got in the cage and weighed them all I have no idea why he and maybe his son are doing this but it is super cute and those cats LOVE him.  I could totally handle being loved on by 5 cats.  I'll be the cat lady in 40 years I am sure LOL  My cat Sassy was on the table head butting the screen and Carlee was in my lap we all love those cats LOL

 

OK Back to why you are here!  FWF YIPPEE!!!  I did the hip hop yesterday and am always so inspired to make something.  The same with FWF what a talented bunch of people the Unity fans are!!

 

I did a post yesterday on the sale.  Brown Friday *swoon* I got a ton of stamps and I am so excited to open that box and get to stampin'!!  Unity is shipping so fast now it makes me dance around the living room with my box while I head for the kitchen scissors.

This is another older card I am cleaning up all these scraps of paper and attempting to get them all on the blog.  :)

I think one day I will go to Hobby Lobby and buy the thick ribbon in every color on the next 50% off sale.  I LOVE thick ribbon on cards.  It makes for a bumpy knot and hard to mail and I don't mind.  LOL

 Hi Peeps!  I can't work today due to stupid hackers.  So I am cleaning out my pictures.  I have SO many cards I have made that are not on the blog yet.  I get so busy I ignore the blog but I never stop making stuff.  :)  I try to scrap every night even if it is just cataloging!  Speaking of cataloging I am going to do an update soon.  I have been working on it for 2 years and I am so close to being done it is unreal.  I LOVE it!

Hi Peeps! Are you guys doing all the challenges?

This one Awesome Andrea gave us a

COLOR CHALLENGE!! How easy, right? Except I do not like Olive Sam I Am! LOL

I used it LOL as well as Cream, Brown and Pumpkin and I used that last one literally too! :)

 

That pumpkin is too tilted. Why didn't I see that before? LOL I made 2 pumpkins and wanted another one in the top corner but it was not working for me. I am not sure why, it could be the speck of olive paper *SNORT*

I embossed the brown background and the pumpkin with CuttleBug embossing folders. I used my new

KOM labeled {from ours to yours} The gems are Studio G.

Tomorrow BFF comes after work and stays until Sunday night! Her Honey is out of town so it is girls weekend at my house! We ARE getting up to workout Saturday morning! After that all bets are off and we might consume our body weight in beer and chips and quac while we scrap all night long! It has been MONTHS since we have scrapped all weekend. Truth be told it may have been February of 2011 the last time we did it. *GASP* Every morning at the gym while we struggle through we have ben doing the countdown. GAME ON!! Bring on the scrappin'!! I'll be around I have 3 more challenges to do to win a year of kits LOL I have the fall challenge, plus the KOM sketch and the Unity challenge to win the prize of all prizes!!
